Great News: 2411 Longview has been approved for occupancy.
On March 5, 2009 @ 11:00am we received the approval to start checking students back into the house. It only took about a day to get everyone moved back in. Meals are also back on, so there have been more brothers at the house each day getting food. We're still waiting on various permits to pass which should only take another month or two. A special thanks is owed to Doug Gibbins for all his hard work throughout this entire project and to John Holoubek, General Contractor, for his perseverance in dealing with the inspectors and bringing this phase to a close. We also want to thank the Endowment of Phi Kappa Psi for loaning us the funds to complete our renovation. While this is good news, we still need your help. We need to retire the loan from the Endowment of PKP as an alumni group and need the financial support of every Alumnus to make it happen. donate now.

George A Crowley Transferred to Chapter Eternal:
George Allen Crowley, 77, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at home with the same grace with which he lived, despite the disease that ravished his brain. George was born Aug. 5, 1931, in Fort Worth to S. Allen and Zedau Bates Crowley. After graduating from Polytechnic High School, he received his preparatory and legal education at the University of Texas (B.A. 1956, LL.B. 1958) and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth and considered it a wonderful place to live.George began his law practice in the office of his father in the firm of Crowley, Wright, Miller and Garrett. In 1964, he became a partner in the firm of Brown, Day and Crowley, and in 1977, he joined the firm of McDonald Sanders, P.C. He was a partner in the firm and had been engaged in the practice of civil trial law for 25 years when, in 1983, Texas Gov. Mark White appointed him to the 67th District Court. In 1996, Judge Crowley left the bench and rejoined the firm of McDonald Sanders, where he became of counsel to the firm. He remained a judicial officer and concentrated his practice in the area of mediation and alternative dispute resolution. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pat Crowley; children Pam Saenz and Allen Crowley and his grandchildren.
